Types of sticker stocks

There are hundreds of types of sticker stocks available in the market. Growing printing market and the conditions of usage has made this happen for the printers to invent as many stocks as there could be. Almost all types of sticker stock available in today’s market have been listed below.

1. Sticker Paper Stock

Sticker paper stocks are;

• Coated Paper Stock (can be of any color)
• Uncoated Paper Stock(can be of any color)
• Florescent paper Stock (Green, Red, Orange, Yellow, Pink etc)
• Gloss Paper Stock (smooth and glass shiny and can be of any color)
• Matte Paper Stock(Smooth yet Dull looking, can be of any color)

A single sticker paper stock type can range from one to many depending upon the weight age of the paper in gms or oz.


2. Clear or Transparent Stock Stickers

Clear or transparent sticker stocks are;

• Static Cling Stock (smooth and a bit thicker than vinyl stock)
• Clear PVC Stock (both with Gloss & Matte coatings)
• Clear Castaic Stock (both with Gloss & Matte coatings)
• Clear Vinyl Stock (smooth)

Almost each of the above stock except static cling stock can be used for outdoor purposes. These vinyl sticker stocks and Pvc stocks are durable and cost less.

3. Tamper Proof Rainbow Stock

This stock is also known as;

• Rainbow warranty sticker stock
• Tamper proof rainbow stock

The color of the stock sheet is silver and it gives rainbow colors on changing angles.

Uses :
• To Seal packaging like boxes, doors and cabinets.
• They are used as warranty labels, “Void if removed labels”
• Seal Mobile and other handy product cases to show earlier un-packing attempts.


4. Premium Foil Stock Stickers

There are almost all of the colors available in this kind of stock. From black premium foil sticker stock to silver and white premium foil sticker stock. Different shades in bright and dull mode are also available.

Usage :
• These labels come standard with Permanent Adhesive and are not intended for outdoor use.


5. White vinyl Stock “Warranty Void” / Tamper Evident Stickers & Labels

This stock is found almost in every color. Basically used for digital printing of labels and warranty stickers. They tear-off or leave “Void” thing when tried over to remove. You can see these kinds of labels and stickers inside you computer box, under your mobile cases etc.

Usage:
• Security labels add value to products.
• Tamper evident labels deter unauthorized access.
• Seal PC cases to show attempts at component theft or swapping.
• Seal cabinets, doors and boxes.
• Seal sensitive CD / DVD disks and backups.
